Country music is back at the Berrien County Youth Fair this summer.

“We will be having LoCash in the house at 7 p.m. (Wednesday, August 15),” says Kala Hoover of the fair’s board of directors. She notes the country duo are an up-and-coming act, adding “they’re a good group. They were nominated for CMA Awards, this year, CMT Music Awards.” If you’re unfamiliar with LoCash, it’s singer-songwriters Chris Lucas of Baltimore and Preston Brust of Indianapolis, with a sound described as fusing modern country and classic heartland rock. “Rolling Stone” calls them “one of Nashville’s hardest-working acts.”

This year’s fair starts Monday, August 13 with the traditional Tractor Pull, and then Tuesday is Kid’s Day with free admission for kids and Circus Continental. A pair of demolition derby events follow on Thursday and Friday nights, with Bullmania closing the fair out on Saturday. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, April 4, and more information is online at bcyf.org.
