Saints 20, Bears 12 – Brees leads Saints past to 5th straight win
Drew Brees completed 23 of 28 passes for 299 yards against a Bears defense that ranked sixth against the pass, and the New Orleans Saints beat Chicago 20-12 Sunday for their fifth straight win.  Running backs Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara each ran for touchdowns for New Orleans. Ingram finished with 99 yards from scrimmage, including 75 on the ground, but his two late fumbles kept the Bears in the game into the final minutes. Kamara had 76 yards from scrimmage, 48 receiving. The Saints were threatening to score twice in the fourth quarter when the Bears stripped the ball from Ingram. Chicago converted the first fumble into its only touchdown with 3:43 to go on Tarik Cohen’s short dive over a pile of players at the goal line. The second turnover occurred with a little more than two minutes left on the Bears 30, but Chicago was unable to get a first down as rookie Mitchell Trubisky’s fourth-and-1 pass fell incomplete.

Last Night
Indiana Pacers 97, San Antonio Spurs 94
Detroit Pistons 115, Golden State Warriors 107

Pacers 97, Spurs 94 – Oladipo lifts Pacers over Spurs
Victor Oladipo scored 23 points, including the decisive 3-pointer, to lift Indiana past San Antonio 97-94.  LaMarcus Aldridge scored 26 points lead San Antonio, which lost its second game in a row after a four-game, season-opening winning streak.  Oladipo sank a 3-pointer with 10.3 seconds to go to give Indiana a 95-94 lead. Aldridge missed a jumper with 5.1 seconds left. Cory Joseph was fouled with 3.4 seconds remaining and hit both free throws to push the lead to three. Patty Mills missed a potential game-tying 3-pointer just before the buzzer.

Pistons 115, Warriors 107 – Warriors handed second loss at home, fall 115-107 to Pistons
Avery Bradley scored 23 points, Reggie Jackson had 22 and the Pistons handed the defending NBA champion Warriors their second home loss of the season by the score of 115-107.  Tobias Harris hit a 3-pointer for Detroit with 1:27 remaining that all but sealed it after Kevin Durant fueled a late Warriors rally.  The Warriors lost only twice total at Oracle Arena in both their 2015 championship year and again in the 73-win season that followed, and then just five times at home on the way to another title this year.  Klay Thompson scored 29 for Golden State and became the 11th player in franchise history to eclipse 9,000 career points. Durant wound up with 28 points.

NASCAR – Kyle Busch advances in Cup playoffs
Kyle Busch is the first driver into NASCAR’s championship race after using an overtime pass of teammate Denny Hamlin to win at Martinsville Speedway. Hamlin and Chase Elliott had a heated conversation after the checkered flag because Hamlin wrecked Elliott out of the lead to send the race into overtime. Hamlin restarted as the leader, but Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Busch ran inside of him to snatch the lead away. Martin Truex Jr. went with Busch, and Hamlin faded all the way to seventh.
