Coming soon to the Heritage Museum and Cultural Center in St. Joseph will be a presentation on the history of the American auto industry with a special guest speaker perfectly suited to discuss the subject. Matt Anderson, the curator at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, will be in St. Joseph on August 10. Heritage Museum Interim Director Tracy Gierada tells WSJM News he’ll talk about the origins of one of Michigan’s most important industries.

“The presentation is called Wheels for the World: Michigan’s Automobile History, and he’s really going to focus on the first generation of Michigan automakers and some of the big personalities and the big stories that came out of those businesses,” Gierada said.

Gierada notes Anderson used to be the curator at the Heritage Museum. The presentation will be August 10 at 6:30 pm. They ask for a $5 donation.
