Maine and New Jersey End State Gov’t Shutdown

New Jersey and Maine ended their respective government shutdowns after failing to reach an agreement on budgeting for the fiscal year (July 1). Both states had suspended non-essential services for three days, but had made sure Forth of July celebrations were not affected and opened state parks and beaches.
