A South Bend man is facing charges following a heroin bust in Niles this week. On Tuesday, the Southwest Enforcement Team, along with several local police departments, arrested 26-year-old Geoffrey Duran Husband after a roughly month-long investigation into heroin sales in Niles Township. Husband was arrested near the Dairy Queen on South 11th Street and taken to the Berrien County Jail. He’s charged with the delivery of heroin, the delivery of a counterfeit substance, and maintaining a drug vehicle. Police ask anyone with information on drug activity around Berrien County to give them a tip by calling Crimestoppers at 1-800-342-STOP.
