A new survey from JD Power and Associates finds the more people hear about self-driving cars, the less they trust them. Tech Choice survey author Kristin Kolodge tells Michigan News Network older people also are apprehensive about autonomous vehicles.

“Highly automated vehicles are progressing at an unprecedented rate, and what we’re seeing is the consumer interest is not really reciprocating,” Kolodge said.

Kolodge adds one way to get more people to accept self-driving cars could be to promote anti-crash features, which people do seem to like. Technology experts predict self-driving vehicles are coming, and fast. Some add government should prepare for the economic consequences as driving jobs disappear.
