The Michigan Department of Transportation has added the completion of the US-31 corridor to its five year construction plan. State Representative Al Pscholka has been working on getting MDOT to commit to the project for years, and tells us he’s relieved US-31 will finally be connected to I-94. He’s always asked about it.

“This is a constant question,” Pscholka said. “‘When is 31 going to get done? Am I going to see it while I’m still alive?’ This is terrific news.”

MDOT put the US-31 corridor on its build list this year, and now it’s set to begin between 2017 and 2021. The cost will be about $92 million.
