Regardless of who wins the presidential election, Congressman Fred Upton says lawmakers are going to have to work with that person. The big day is next Tuesday, and come January, either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump will be president. Upton tells WSJM News, no matter who it is, the issues should be top priority.

“I know that as we look at jobs and the economy, helping our seniors, and medicare, policy has got to outweigh politics,” Upton said.

Upton is expecting the House to remain in Republican control, and the Senate to be close, whichever way it goes. He also expects there will be more women in Congress.
