A big appliance sale is being held by Whirlpool this weekend at its Center for Partner Development building at 1800 Paw Paw Avenue in Benton Harbor, with the United Way of Southwest Michigan getting the proceeds. Whirlpool spokeswoman Angie Seger says the sale will be from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

“We have pretty much everything you can imagine,” Seger tells us. “There are 500-plus appliances for sale. Major appliances meaning washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves, refrigerators.”

New for this sale will also be an assortment of small KitchenAid appliances. The discounts will be up to 55 to 60% off of retail. Seger says the goal is to raise about $75,000 for the United Way. Sales are cash or credit and debit card only, with checks not accepted. The list of all the available items is on the United Way’s website at uwsm.org.
