Titans 16, Lions 15 – Titans rally to beat Lions 16-15
Marcus Mariota moved the Tennessee Titans down the field like a savvy veteran, not a second-year pro, and completed all nine of his throws to complete a comeback a week after his turnovers hurt his team’s shot to win. Mariota converted a fourth down with a perfectly lofted 9-yard touchdown pass to Andre Johnson with 1:13 left, lifting the Titans to a 16-15 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. The Lions (1-1) had an opportunity to set up a winning field goal in the final minute for a second straight week, but Matthew Stafford threw an interception to Perrish Cox at midfield with 18 seconds left. Detroit had won seven of nine, dating to midway through the 2015 season.

Broncos 34, Colts 20 – Broncos defense Denver past Colts 34-20
Denver’s defense scored twice in the fourth quarter to secure a 34-20 triumph over Indianapolis. Aqib Talib returned an interception 46 yards for a touchdown, and Shane Ray brought back a fumble 15 yards for the game-clinching TD. Trevor Siemian was 22 of 33 for 266 yards for the Broncos. Andrew Luck was sacked five times as he completed just 21 of his 40 attempts for 197 yards, one touchdown and one interception for the 0-2 Colts.

Vikings 17, Packers 14 – Vikings win U.S. Bank Stadium Opener
The Vikings were winners in their first regular-season game at U.S. Bank Stadium as Sam Bradford threw for 286 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in a 17-14 triumph over Green Bay. Sam Bradford was sharp in his Vikings debut, completing 22 of his 30 passes for 286 yards, two TDs and no turnovers. Aaron Rodgers was sacked five times and had two turnovers. The Vikings finished without Adrian Peterson because of a right knee injury.

NASCAR – Martin Truex Jr. rallies to win NASCAR Chase opener
Martin Truex Juniorwent from a completely unraveled tire that left him a lap down to the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup championship lead for the first time in his career. Truex shot to the front after a late re-start and pulled away to give Furniture Row Racing a NASCAR Sprint Cup playoff-opening victory Sunday at Chicagoland Speedway.
