Two Meth Arrests In Bloomingdale Twp On Thursday

Two people are facing charges after police say they found meth lab components in a Van Buren County home. The sheriffs department says that on Thursday afternoon, officers of the narcotics unit got a tip that 44 year-old Peter Thomson -- who was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant -- might be at a residence at 41877 County Road 380, in Bloomingdale Township. While observing the home, they saw Thomson pull up and approached him, although he tried to lie about his name at first. A search of his vehicle turned up pseudoephedrine, and a search of the home resulted in the seizure of all the items needed to manufacture methamphetamine, along with a small amount of finished meth and used syringes. Thomson was arrested, as was his companion, 26 year-old Lori Hewitt, of Grand Junction.
