Congressman Fred Upton appeared on the Fox Business Channel this week to talk with Neil Cavuto about the stalled Keystone XL oil pipeline. He's been pushing the project for the past year or so, saying that the millions of barrels of oil it would bring down to the United States from Canada would mean thousands of jobs. However, the Obama Administration recently backed away from the project, citing environmental concerns. Upton on Tuesday told Cavuto that now is no time for the government to be preventing an increase in the oil supply:
Upton still thinks a vote on Keystone can be forced in the Senate if it's attached to a popular highway bill this month. He told Cavuto that congressional leaders are working to make sure that happens.
